This week we dissected the Pledge of Allegiance. We looked at each word in an effort to better understand its meanings and implications. Lastly, we re-wrote the pledge and inserted our own dialogue of understanding. Do you feel you have greater insight into the Pledge of Allegiance, why or why not?

As our students have stood and recited the pledge this week, I have observed as greater level of attention given to each word. They are conscious and have a reverence about them. Great Job.

I was surprised about how great the difference was between how we WERE saying the pledge of allegiance, and how we SHOULD say it. Now that I have heard the correct way to say it, the old way seems so dull. I am glad that I am finally saying the pledge the RIGHT way. Now I am ready to express myself and inspire others every morning!

i like that we went through each word so now i know what i promise to every day instead of just saying it.

It's really hard to get out of the way that you were taught to say it.

Once you know how important it is and what it means you will say it a lot more meaningfully.
